Our Story
The advisory board for NEXT Robotics is made of FIRST alumni, mentors, and coaches. We were all looking for a way to continue our participation in a robotics competition that was more focused on gameplay than battle - the environment we had all grown to love.
During the Robot in 1 Weekend build for Rover Ruckus, the NEXT Robotics program was born. Since then, we have worked on building the right team and designing a program that will be fun to participate in and to watch.
Our Vision
We created the NEXT program to fill the space after graduating from high school programs like FIRST and VEX. Based on the game styles and cultures of these programs, NEXT hopes to cultivate a community for alumni, coaches, mentors, and others who may have missed out on these programs in school.
